Papua New Guinea’s Ministry of Finance is the department responsible for the “protection of public money” in Papua New Guinea (PNG). The ministry is run by Minister of Finance Patrick Pruaitch.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Ministry of Finance and Treasury )〕
Pruaitch has been part of PNG’s political landscape since 2002, when he contested the national elections as an independent candidate. Pruaitch was appointed as forestry minister in August 2002. In 2004, he was also appointed as Leader of Government Business.
Pruaitch won back his parliamentary seat in the 2007 elections and was appointed as minister of finance.
